The Aspen Tree
The aspen tree inspires us at Pathmakers. Individual aspen trees live only 100 years; however, aspen trees reproduce by sprouting shoots from their roots forming groves made up of many trees. An aspen grove is actually a single entity, which can live several thousand years. Aspen trees are said to tremble but not bend in strong winds. Even forest fires do not kill aspen trees, if the roots remain alive. Aspen tree symbolism includes determination and overcoming fears and doubts. Our passion is to help individuals and organizations lead without fear, overcome challenges and endure through the generations like the aspen tree.
